During the year, chances are you’ll end up finding some firm that is seeking to sell laptops on sale at some crazy price. A lot of them are legit. They actually are doing what they claim to do: sell laptops at the stated price. But chances are, for every 4 or 5 that are legitimate, there is at least one or two that is doing something not so honest. They’d take you for a ride if they could.

Do not be fulled for a second! Just because you see something advertised in the news paper or on television, does not mean it couldn’t be a scam. It goes without saying that you can simply avoid spending money with these kinds of companies. But let’s be honest – a skilled salesperson who’s good at getting people to buy stuff can likely convince you to buy a computer make or model number that you had no intention of buying!
There are consumer related regulations in place to avoid unrealistic or dishonest claims in advertizing. But often times, the seasoned used car salesman types know how to side step the law. You open up your cellphone to inquire about a deal you may have heard about on your way to work while listening to the radio. A salesman picks up who’s smooth talking and enthusiastic and before you know it you decide to drive to the mall after work to get in on all those last minute computer deals he talks about.
Instead they ask you questions on what you want in a laptop. Along the way they will lead you toward the model that they are looking to push and have different methods to have you believe that your needs won’t be met with the “sales” model.
If they can’t persuade you into buying the “switch” model, they will say something along the way that they will get the “bait” one from the supply room, only to come back and say that they didn’t realize that the last one was sold while talking to you.
Unfortunately listed in the advertisement it stated that they only had five of the “sales” brand at that price and they won’t be able to sell any of the future deliveries to you at that price. The smart way to know if your dealing with a reputable company is when you walk in the store, stick to your guns and ask to see the “sales” model first before he or she starts trying to sell you something else. You can purchase laptops on sale if you look in the right places. The trick is to be smart and ask the right questions. Or, do what smart consumer online do.
